The Mermaid Chair is enjoyable, too. I've read that one, as well. I think you'll like it. :)

I've got four books crossed off the 2008 Reading List so far, with the first two Spiderwick books waiting in the wings. I should be able to finish those in no time, then I can pick up the others at work on Monday. They're such short books, I'll be able to work my way up to a total of nine in no time! (Seems a bit like cheating, though, doesn't it?? *doesn't care much*)
