It really, really is how I feel right now. I'm a bit broke, but managed to donate $20 to my friend's Memory Walk - she's a dear, dear friend and I figure I need to "pray with my feet" and, if I didn't do this while working for an organization that promotes aging research, well, it would be a missed opportunity. Plus, I really support my friend and the cause.
e.e. cummings is one of my all-time favourite poets and I love this poem. It really reminds me that I need to think with my heart and feel with my head and make my whole self one. I really think I may need to get a tattoo based on this poem, but I'm not sure how I'd like it to work.
I'm still considering getting a tattoo of this poem! (Orignally, I was going to get this instead of my "it's always ourselves we find in the sea," but I decided I loved that more~) MY pick was "love is a place," but that's just me~ :)
Indeed I am part of literarytattoos, though I haven't watched it for a while. I added it to this journal, though, so I'm hoping to get back into it.
I was thinking maybe:
& through this place of love move (with brightness of peace)
It's a bit long, but I want the movement part to be represented somehow because love, as life, is a journey. It's not just a place stagnated, but something living, growing, moving.
OHMYGODILOVEIT!!! That would be SO beautiful!! And TOTALLY doable, I think! I don't think it's long at all~! :) On my other ankle I'm getting: "I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied," broken up. I think that would totally work...and the punctuation will look gorgeous! :D
Still trying to decide where I want it and what kind of font and how large... and, of course, there's the money issue. I really should get my cherry blossoms finished before I get another new tattoo. You know? LOL

Any ideas where you'd get it?
